Jennifer Carroll

I am in the second year of the MNSc program and my supervisor is Dr. Rosemary Wilson.  My thesis will examine the knowledge and attitudes of Nurse Practitioners in caring for Transgender patients.  I graduated from the University of Calgary in 1997 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Archaeology.  After a number of years excavating in B.C., Alberta, and the Arctic I returned to school to study nursing graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science, Nursing from the University of Ottawa in collaboration with Algonquin College (2008).  I worked on the surgery and rehabilitation unit at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario before becoming a simulation and lab instructor in the Bachelor of Science, Nursing; the Practical Nursing; the Orientation to Nursing in Ontario; and the Patient Support Worker, programs at Algonquin College (Woodroffe).
