The Indigenous Council of Queen's University was established in 1992 in order to “ensure that for generations hereafter Indigenous peoples will have access to higher education at Queen's University, and that the institution will be responsive to the broader needs of Indigenous peoples." The council supports and provides advice relating to numerous programs and services at Queen’s. Some of their working groups include the Indigenous Student Access and Support working work, the Indigenous cultural Awareness and Programming working group and the Indigenous knowledge, curriculum and Research working group.

The QNSA is a university club comprised of Indigenous and non-Indigenous students at Queen’s that have shown an interest in Indigenous cultures and traditions. The QNSA functions as a forum for students to discuss contemporary and historic issues pertaining to Indigenous peoples and cultures. They work closely with Four Directions Indigenous Students Centre and Queen’s Indigenous Council to identify the needs of Indigenous students on campus. The QNSA seeks to promote increased cultural understanding on campus. Embers attend events produced by other clubs on campus to promote solidarity and cooperation towards achieving campus-wide mutual respect.
