Teaching
I began teaching in the undergraduate nursing program in 2011, with a focus on community health promotion, and joined the faculty full time in 2015. I teach theory and clinical courses in the third and fourth years of the undergraduate program, with an emphasis on community-based practice, health promotion and mental health.
My professional background is grounded in community health nursing and public health, with practice experience in public health settings and nursing education. My interests include population and public health, health equity, social justice, the social and structural determinants of health, mental health and harm reduction, and community health nursing. I am committed to supporting undergraduate nursing students in exploring the diverse opportunities available in nursing, particularly within community and public health settings.
