Dr. Obilor will develop her own program of research to understand how the mental health of perinatal people with disabilities can be promoted, an area that has received limited attention. Dr. Obilor has diverse clinical experience and has worked as a registered nurse, midwife, and public health nurse in Nigeria. She is registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Texas Board of Nursing as a registered nurse. Prior to her postdoctoral program, she also worked as a clinical instructor and lecturer at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, where she taught, mentored, and supervised undergraduate and graduate students.
